Losing weight is challenging- Let’s face it

You can be putting tons of efforts like going to gym, exercising regularly, eating right and still not lose weight and get the results that you want. It is very frustrating and has caused many people to just give up. 

But why is losing weight so challenging and what can be done to lose weight and most importantly lose the weight for good

In my opinion, I think there is 2 major reasons why losing weight is challenging:

1) Lack of time to exercise: I think lack of time to exercise is the first reason why many of us fail to lose weight. Many of us lead busy lives and it is hard to find balance between family, work and time to exercise. Work life balance is important and finding time to not just exercise once in a while but on a regular basis can  be a challenge. Lack of physical exercise not only can cause weight gain but also lead  to many diseases like heart diseaseshigh blood pressureobesity and high cholesterol.  

2) Diet: Diet is key and a major part of losing weight. Without the proper diet- weight loss is difficult even with regular exercise. Many of us eat high calorie foods putting in more calories than we burn leading to weight gain over time. Proper diet in my opinion should include plenty of vegetables and food that are rich in Omega-3 and in fiber. As far as vegetables are concerned broccoli is on top of my list. Broccoli is a good source of fiber, protein, iron, and potassium and ultimately good for our body and help us lead a healthy life style. 

 

Conclusion:  In my humble opinion, the combination of healthy diet and exercise is the way to go when it comes to losing weight and never gaining it back. Losing weight is also a matter of time and don’t expect results overnight or in a week just because you have been trying and have not gotten the results. Being patient in the weight loss journey is key and keeps you motivated to get the results in the long run. Just like anything else, It will take efforts, patience and consistency to really succeed. Personally I am working hard to lose 20lbs and I am trying my best to put those 2  elements that I have shared with you into practice with the hope that it will help me get good results in the future.
