Healthy Relationship leads to more Joy

Relationships are an important component of one person life. Healthy relationships can even make you reach higher level of success and enjoy more joy in life. But just like any other areas of our lives, success in any relationships require that we establish the proper boundaries and invest time and efforts before we see the results. Healthy boundaries can do the following for us:

1) Create Emotional Health:  Emotional boundaries means separating your feelings from another person feelings. People with poor boundaries tend to take responsibility for others feelings and actions. Healthy boundaries means taking responsibility for your own actions and emotions. Strong emotional boundaries protect your own self-esteem and your identity and you must take charge of it and protect it.  

2) Increase self-esteem and reduce unnecessary stress: Setting proper boundaries can increase your self esteem and reduce unnecessary stress because you can identify when your boundaries are being crossed and remain tuned into your own feelings. Some red flags include the following: discomfort, stress, and anxiety. Those feelings can be an indication that you are being taken advantage of. 

Conclusion: Learning how to set relationships boundaries early in lives can have tremendous benefits and help us live more fulfilling lives by helping us stand for ourselves. Healthy boundaries is believing that you are Ok with who you are  not superior or inferior to anyone else. Good boundaries are a sign of emotional health, self respect, and strength and we must  teach our kids early on in life to set good boundaries.
